ODESSA Stoby, 30, of Lot 154 First Street, Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, was yesterday remanded to prison, on a drug trafficking charge.
She pleaded not guilty, before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton, to the offence, particulars of which said, on January 12, she trafficked in one kilogramme 10 grammes of cocaine by supplying it to Annola Peters.
Police charged Stoby, who was fingered by Peters after the latter was jailed Monday, for having trafficked the narcotic in a wig.
Stoby has to be back in Court April 19.
Peters, after pleading guilty, said Stoby took her to do her hair and stuck the drug inside, before she attempted to board a flight to Jamaica.
The prisoner said Stoby also gave her US$300 and the ticket for the trip. (Nathalene DeFreitas)
