Man charged with publicising cell phone sex pictures

EUGENE Frank (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday, in answer to a charge of exhibiting obscene matters.

He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, between April 15 and September 16, 2009, he knowingly exposed, to public view, oral sex pictures.

Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, who requested that the defendant be made to post substantial bail, said the photographs were taken with a cellular phone.

The Prosecutor said the female in the pictures had agreed to be photographed but the defendant made the images public by transferring them to other phones.
Frank was ordered to lodge $70,000 surety until February 19.
