Two bonded for threatening each other

TWO men, charged with threatening each other, were each placed on one year bonds to keep the peace, yesterday.

Troy Collins, 34, of Lot 24 Alexander Village, Georgetown and Ralph Peters, 52, of Lot 618 College Road, Kuru Kuru, Soesdyke/Linden Highway appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.

Collins pleaded guilty to the December 7 offence, particulars of which said the threat to Peters caused a breach of the peace and the latter denied doing similarly.

Collins told the Court he saw Peters slap a woman and because he rebuked him Peters went to his workplace and threatened him.

However, Peters claimed it was Collins who took away a ball with which he was playing when he fell asleep.

Collins repaid Peters $2,000 for the ball and both men declined to give evidence against one another before they wee bonded.
