Debate on one-colour for taxis should be constructive

THERE must be a constructive debate on the one-colour taxi proposal. New cabs and fleet owners are in a better position to use one-colour. It may be more practical to use a numbering system on existing cabs or a coloured taxi sign to identify owners. Placing numbers on taxis could clearly identify the region, town, etc, that the taxi is based in and its ownership. Also the numbers should be on the sides, back and top for better security. Visitors should be warned against using unmarked taxis and these taxis should not be allowed at airports and hotels.
