THE Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) held a specially-arranged cocktail reception to recognise the sponsors who facilitated the national male and female teams to attend the recently concluded North America Caribbean Rugby Associations Sevens in Mexico.

gratitude to the corporate bodies.
He singled out Edward Beharry and Company and GT&T for their substantial input while other contributors came in for high praise.
The men came out champions for the fourth consecutive year, while the ladies copped the coveted title for two successive years now. Adonis also congratulated the lads from both teams for making Guyana proud.
The sponsors were presented with certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
GRFU had to raise US$35 000 while they received a subsidiary from the Rugby International Board (IRB) of US$16 000.
With their victory, the males have now qualified for the IRB tournament set to be held in Las Vegas, mid-February next year.
