BEHARRY Group of Companies made a significant contribution to the staging of the 20th Annual Kashif and Shanghai (K&S) Football Tournament which kicks off on December 13 at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.

Co-director of the Kashif and Shanghai organisation Aubrey `Shanghai’ Major accepts the sponsorship cheque from Beharry’s Merchandising and Sales Manager Anthony Xavier, while Kashif Muhammad, the other Co-director of the organisation looks on.

Yesterday the company’s Merchandising and Sales Manager, Anthony Xavier, presented the organisers with a cheque valued in excess of $2M which will go towards offsetting expenses for the successful staging of the grand event.

Xavier said this is the seventh consecutive year that the Beharry’s Group is contributing to the tournament and his company remains committed to continue doing so in the future.

Xavier congratulated the organisers, Kashif Muhammad and Aubrey `Shanghai’ Major for making the tournament the success it is to date and wished them continued success.

“We’ve been seeing the good works that they have been doing, especially for Guyana’s youths and we think with our assistance, together we can make a difference for the country’s youths.

In accepting the contribution, Major thanked the Beharry Group of Companies for remaining on board especially during this tough economic time and said it is an honour to be associated with the company.
