Guyana’s Ms. World representative in Abu Dhabi

Guyana’s Representative at the upcoming Ms. World pageant, Imarah Radix, is presently in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, where she and 119 other contestants are on a three-day visit.

The young women hosted a gala dinner with VIPs and celebrities last Wednesday. They took part yesterday in their own fashion showcase featuring the cream of South African fashion at a Golden Reception.

The girls who recently left London welcomed the soaring temperatures and took the opportunity to catch some rays poolside at their stunning hotel overlooking the new Abu Dhabi Grand Prix circuit.

Radix was recently crowned Ms. Guyana World at Duke Lodge here in Kingston in the absence of a local pageant, after being selected by British based franchise holder Mr. Ken Chung.

Radix, who was raised in Britain, graduated from the Cobham Hall girls school in Kent with ten GCSE’s, including French and Dance, after which she went on to earn three advanced level passes in Russian History, English Literature and Classical Greek Civilisation, all from the same institution.

She recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.

A certified scuba diver, trained in Open Water and Advanced Open Water diving with five specialties, Radix has postponed working on her Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University College, Kensington, London, to represent Guyana at the Miss World Pageant, scheduled for December 12 In Johannesburg, South Africa.
