A fire around noon yesterday destroyed the home of vendor Mrs. Zaimoon Sookram at Crane on the West Demerara. 
What is left of Sookram’s home.
Sookram, who lived with four others in the building, said she heard a ‘crashing sound’ just after noon, and then flames engulfed the back of the house.
The home owner suffered minor burns.
It is believed that the house was channa-bombed.
