The Housing and Water Ministry donated a quantity of books and footballs to the Great Falls community, Region Ten on August 3.
Minister of Housing and Water Irfaan Ali said the contributions are intended to encourage reading and “One of the greatest ways we can transform a community and enjoy an improved standard of living is through a good education… nothing stops people from becoming doctors and lawyers and teachers. They are all equal…all of us improve literacy skills among children and adults in the community. are gifted, we all have to utilise that same gift for the benefit for ourselves and community,” the Minister said.
The Minister encouraged parents to ensure their children have an education. He added that there are several initiatives undertaken by Government to assist hinterland students who excel at school.
