SHAWN Chung, 21, of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara, has been charged with accessory after the fact in relation to an armed robbery.

He appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate Court yesterday, when he was remanded until August 7.

The charge resulted from police investigations into an armed robbery committed on two men who were in a parked motor vehicle at Ruby, East Bank Essequibo, last July 17.

Police said the two men were allegedly robbed of $1.6 million by two men armed with cutlasses.
