TOGETHER they made a formidable pair in shaping the Guyana of today. Their achievements will forever be etched in the minds of Guyanese wherever they are. And Guyanese in England continue to keep alive, the memory of the Jagans on Sunday 26th July.
The annual cricket competition which started after the death of Dr Jagan attracts Guyanese cricketers of every level. While their friends and families enjoy their own side shows, (dancing, dominoes, picnic and cook-up rice. The cricketers would battle it out with the Jagan-style determination.
This year, the memorial is again at Birkbeck Sports Ground, BIRKBECK AVENUE ,(Off Oldfield lane) GREENFORD, LONDON UB6 8LS , England .
Favourable English weather will ensure another fun day for the hundreds of Guyana’s patriots.
First round matches start at 11.00am with the finals at 16:40 pm.
