The teenager told the Guyana Chronicle the alleged killer had stalked and called on her cellular phone often to enquire of her whereabouts as she was the intended victim.
But she never made a report to the Police because she was afraid of him, she regretted in an interview.
Ramlakhan said the 22-year-old minibus conductor suspect in the killing is a habitual alcohol drinker, who also smokes cigarettes and often threatened to kill her.

However, when the crime was committed, she had been away from the house as she fled in fear of the man, to her sister’s Parika, East Bank Essequibo residence.
The young woman said it was sometime after it happened that she received the tragic news and Police took her to the where the suspected murderer lives and arrested him.
Ramlakhan she and the man in custody previously shared a two-year relationship but it soured when she learnt that he was involved with other women.

“I told him I no longer want to see him and he became very upset and said, if he cannot get me, no other man can and he would end my life if I refuse to see him,” she reported.
Ramlakhan added that, last week Wednesday, she was there when her ex-paramour went to their home and forced himself inside, refusing to leave after being informed she was not present.
She said, she, eventually, emerged from hiding and they talked but he did not go away and spent the night.
Ramlakhan said many telephone calls followed and it was after those that her mother advised her to go to her sister at Parika.

The murder took place after the 22-year-old suspect allegedly gained entry to the house by smashing a window, about 22:30 h Tuesday night to carry out the fatal attack on Rajpattie Jagroop, 49, of Lot 104 North Zeeburg, West Coast Demerara.
She was chopped and stabbed to death in her own bedroom by the attacker who also dealt the woman’s 17-year-old other daughter several chops.
The latter received treatment for her wounds and was making another doctor’s visit yesterday, as neighbours and relatives gathered to discuss the tragedy.
Some said Jagroop and Ramlakhan were bullied because there was no other man living with them after the husband of the former passed away years ago, leaving four daughters, two of whom are married and not living there.
