THE arson attack on the Ministry of Health is a wake up call to Guyanese that they cannot afford to sit on the side lines and hope for change.
Guyanese must recognize that misguided attacks against government properties are counter productive in bringing about change in policies. The real victims are the poor. They must support and use the civil society group involved in the National Security discussions to become a more active partner with government in addressing legitimate concerns of all Guyanese. Opposition leaders seem incapable of proposing instead of opposing policies and participating in developing them for a better Guyana.
