RECENTLY there has been a flurry of “summer” activities in Guyana. Summer camps, summer school, summer sales, etc.
From this “summer thing” it would follow that we have summer, autumn, winter and spring here in Guyana and therefore there would be schools, camps and sales for each one of these seasons.
These idiots who propagate this “summer nonsense” should know that Guyana has two seasons-a dry and a wet one, but they have become such copy cats and foreign oriented that fiction is now being turned into reality.
Would educators and geographers please help to eradicate this ‘summer nonsense’ before it becomes cancerous.
