CHRISTINA Mendonca has been charged with threatening behaviour towards her mother’s tenant.
The defendant appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and the 43-year-old, of Lot 105 Regent Street, Bourda, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty.
It is alleged that, on July 16, she made use of threats to Rita Persaud.
Mendonca, who claimed she is a volunteer at St. Ann’s Orphanage, was granted $10,000 bail until July 21.
Police Inspector Denise Griffith, prosecuting, said Mendonca used a knife to threaten Persaud, who was living in a house belonging to her mother but the tenancy expired.
The virtual complainant said she is afraid of Mendonca, as her life has been a hell ever since the defendant returned from New York.
