IT did not strike as being neither strange nor surprising from a newspaper report in which Justice Ramlall castigated certain named police ranks for being “unfair and prejudicial in their investigation” against murder accused Ashanti Schultz called “Blondie” who was acquitted of the charge.
A similar situation faces me in a prerequisite report which the police had to submit on my character in respect to my application made to the attorney General’s Chambers for the appointment of Justice of peace and commissioner of Oaths to Affidavits.
The report makes mention of me being in the habit of “writing up” the police which is true of all the other things stated therein just being wicked and malicious fabrications.
Some of the other things, documented inter-alia, were that I was in the habit of molesting people, mixing with known criminals who I would encourage to commit crimes, buy stolen property and being found in possession of a police service revolver.
While the proper course of action by the police was to persecute me for my involvement in such criminal acts, this was not done with the fact being that nothing of the kind never ever transpired.
There was every justification and within my right to “write up” rank for there malfeasance ever so detrimental to the society with much public praise for exposing the wrong doings in the press or in an official complaint to the relevant authorities.
In my opinion, to tolerate and condone malpractices from ranks will certainly help to further aggravate the already tarnished reputation with which the force is faced.
I have always confined my operations within the ambit of the law and only a matter of time will forever prove that injustice and falsehood may be long lived, but doomsday comes at last to them.
