LEON Thomas, 32, of Lot 54 Lime and Bent Streets, Werk-en-Rust, was yesterday refused bail when he appeared in Court charged, again, with impersonating a peace officer.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, the indictable charge against the accused said, on June 13, on Regent Street, also in Georgetown, he approached Subresh Sam and Nizam Khan and pretended to be a Police officer.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Mohammed Zafar, who represented him, admitted that Thomas previously faced a similar charge and was granted bail.
But he was denied the grant this time and remanded to prison while the case has been transferred to another court for June 29.
The lawyer had said Thomas lost eggs which were broken when he was hit by a vehicle in which the virtual complainants breached a traffic light.
On the previous occasion, Thomas faced the allegations of pretending to be a member of the City Constabulary and demanding money with menace and the cases are still pending.
