Speeding by police must be stopped

HOW many more instances must the police in Guyana demonstrate their vast abilities to speed on our roadways for this government to take note and act? Then again, the answer itself is in that question.

Just last Saturday evening, a senior police official in Berbice was speeding and crashed into a bus- shed (destroying it completely) and the front fence of a Sheet Anchor resident resulting in thousands of dollars in damages.

More innocent Guyanese continue to fall victims to speeding army and police vehicles on our roads and no one seems to be doing anything. These vehicles really speed on the road as I have seen them myself. Sometimes the sirens are on as well but it is questionable if they are on a mission as many times I believe they are not.

It might have been a different story had these men and women been capable and effective in doing what they should be doing rather than adding to the detriment of our roadways.
