Fogarty’s presents Mother’s Day promotion prizes

Fogarty’s yesterday presented its winners of the Mother’s Day promotion and essay competition at its Water Street, Georgetown branch.

Eleven winners received prizes for the Mother’s Day promotion which began on May 2.

The winners are: Venetta Persaud, of 176 Campbell Street, Albouystown, got a Magic Chef microwave; Bibi Baldeo of 5 Vryheid’s Lust, East Coast Demerara, got a Sankey toaster oven; Bedwattie Esserry’s daughter, of 49 Delph Street, Campbelville, Georgetown, uplifted her prize of a food processor; Asha Ojha, of 71 First Street, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, was presented a White Diamond perfume set; Claire Straker, of 80 Robb Street, Georgetown, received an ice cream maker; Valine Halim of 10 BB Eccles, East Bank Demerara, got a grocery hamper; Camilla Panday, of 7 Khan’s park, Ogle Front, East Coast Demerara, won a crystal set; Margaret Trotman, of 39 Doch Four Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara, received a Hamilton Beach blender; Sharmila Durpal, of 1 L’esperance, Canal Number One Polder, West Bank Demerara, got a rice cooker; Agnes Persaud, of 204 Fifth Street, Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, received a dinner ware; and Oneal Younge, of 2678 South Ruimveldt Park, was given a prize of a lunch for four persons.

The Essay competition prize winners are: First prize winner Yutesh Dyal got a gift certificate of $15,000; second prize winner Althea Elias got a gift certificate of $10,000; and third prize winner Jonathan Koo got a gift certificate of $5,000.

Yutesh Dyal was granted the opportunity of reading his essay, “My Mother’s Love” to the gathering.

In congratulatory remarks, Executive Director Mr. Vibert Parvatan recognized customer’s value and expressed thanks to all the winners.
