At Demerara Assizes…
JUSTICE James Bovell-Drakes yesterday granted an adjournment, to today, facilitating carnal knowledge accused Kenroy Fraser, who wants to call a witness for the Defence in the voir dire (trial within a trial) that is being conducted to determine the admissibility of an alleged confession.

The case for the Prosecution, presented by State Counsel Dionne Mc Cammon, is that Fraser, carnally knew an 11-year-old girl at West Bank Demerara.

The smaller trial started after the accused, who pleaded not guilty to the indictment, challenged the statement attributed to him.
