POLICE, through a 911 call, discovered the body of an unidentified male East Indian clothed in an orange t-shirt, a three-quarter cream cargo pants and a black hat, floating face down in the middle of a drain in Canal Number 1, West Bank Demerara.

Reports indicate that the body was fished out by police who then checked the body for marks of violence, but none was seen.

The body was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital and later transferred to the Ezekiel Funeral Home where it is awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination.
