– Razack hopes to build legal career in Berbice, inspire other young people
AT 23 years old, Rehanna Razack, a proud native of Corriverton, Region Six, has reached a significant milestone, becoming the first person in her family to become an Attorney-at-Law after being admitted to practise in Guyana on Friday.
Her admission to the Bar marks the culmination of an academic journey that took her from Skeldon Line Path Secondary School to the University of Guyana, where she pursued her undergraduate legal studies, before travelling to The Bahamas to complete her professional training at the Eugene Dupuch Law School.
For Razack, the achievement represents years of hard work, sacrifice, determination and faith. She expressed gratitude to her family and the many people who supported and encouraged her throughout the journey, acknowledging the role they played in helping her reach this point. Now beginning her professional career, Razack intends to practise in Berbice, where she hopes to contribute to the legal profession and serve the people of the region she calls home.
Beyond her own accomplishment, she hopes her journey will encourage other young people, particularly those from smaller communities, to pursue their ambitions regardless of their circumstances. Her achievement demonstrates what can be attained through commitment and perseverance, while offering an example to others who may be working towards their own goals.
For the young attorney, admission to the Bar is more than the achievement of a professional qualification. It marks the beginning of a lifelong commitment to justice, integrity and service, as she prepares to put her legal training into practice in her home region.
