THREE times I said on the Freddie Kissoon Show that Azruddin Mohamed’s methodology is to commit outrageous illegalities, and when the State rightfully condemns him, he feels freer to commit more illegalities because the modus operandi is to win sympathy. But it is more than sympathy Mohamed is seeking. Mohamed is building up to the creation of an episode of destabilisation which this country must be prepared to deal with forcefully. I will explain that below.
No country in the world will condone what Mohamed is doing. Which nation will tolerate an opposition politician facing serious criminal offences in the USA, flying drones over the civilian house of the President of the country? From that breach of national security he has continued in the same vein.
The head of police intelligence is a major witness in Mohamed’s extradition trial. Which nation on Planet Earth will allow the accused in the country’s major criminal trial to go to the home of the intelligence chief and be seen filming the man’s house? That is outright intimidation of a witness.
Bereft of a serious explanation, Mohamed’s sister said that the filming was to show Guyanese the type of security the spy chief has, and it denotes a waste of resources. The problem is not Mohamed only; it is the congenital mental defects of a section of this country’s population that accepts that explanation.
There are actual humans that support the sinister games Mr. Mohamed is playing, but there are other dangers lurking – the immoral minds of those who support the insane methodology of Mohamed. Go on social media, read the Kaieteur News and online newspapers like Kiskadee Watch and Village Voice and read what civil society actors say (who benefitted from the money of Mohamed money that should have gone to the national treasury).
They want to know why Daniel Seeram is not in the Brickdam lock-up. They want to know why Nigel Daramlall is still employed by the government. They want to know why Karimbaksh is not dismissed by the police. In the same breath, these people praise the dangerous games of Mohamed. It is when I see the overflow of these immoralities that I will decide not to retire as a columnist.
What is the next move by Mohamed? Before we answer that, important details of the American accusations against Mohamed need to be made public. It is my belief that tax evasion is a small part of the charges. The Americans have evidence of Mohamed’s dealings with the Middle East in which money is alleged to have been laundered and that Mohamed had transactions with illicit gold shipments from Venezuela.
Mohamed will go from Guyana for a long time. Even a plea bargain will not reduce the years to a short term. Mohamed is facing serious accusations, and a plea bargain will not involve a drastic reduction in sentence. So until his time comes to disappear forever from Guyana, Mohamed is conspiring to destabilise Guyana. I believe mercenary Venezuelans based in other countries and Venezuela also are intertwined with Mohamed.
The Venezuelan accused of attempting to burn down a gas station arrived in Guyana two days before he was arrested. The suspect was not an aggrieved Spanish man who was ill-treated by his Guyanese land lord or robbed by his Guyanese employer or was mistreated by the police. What was he doing in Guyana when he was caught? Do the logical deduction.
So what is the next move by Mohamed? The attempt at destabilisation involves one of two stratagems. One is to provoke violence from an injury Mohamed may sustain from security ranks. Alternatively, conspire to get a female supporter killed, blame the security forces, and hope it will generate mayhem.
It did not happen on April 28, 2025, after the post-mortem finding of Adrianne Young was made public. The security forces put down the rampage within hours. It will not succeed this time. But if I were to prepare a paper on security for President Ali and the Attorney-General, what I have written above would be my submission.
Mohamed knows he has little time left on the soil of Guyana and his plan is for destabilisation. It didn’t happen on April 28 last year. The Spanish man’s bomb did not go off. His school of immoral supporters should be exposed and be ostracised. Mohamed will leave them behind and never see them again.
But they have to dwell among us, and we should not accept them into society. These are people just as dangerous as Mohamed is. What is sad about civilisation is that the man who runs a red light and hits a child and abuses her mother has children who will repeat the cycle. Read Arthur Koestler. He was right about the monsters we call humans.
