BANKS DIH Holdings Inc./ Banks DIH Limited has announced that its Annual Bursary Awards were disbursed to twenty pupils as part of the company’s on-going commitment to celebrating academic excellence.
According to Banks DIH, the awardees are joining a total of eighty others currently being supported through this bursary programme.
The twenty top performers were selected from results submitted by employees and shareholders following the National Grade Six Assessment of 2026.
Delivering the keynote address at the awards ceremony was the Finance Director of Banks DIH Limited, Mr. Deonarain Seepaul, who encouraged the scholars to stay curious and balanced.
According to a press release, Seepaul challenged the students to “take this award today as a token of our belief in you, go to your new schools with your heads held high and make your parents proud, make us proud but most importantly, make yourselves proud.”
Also in attendance were Mr. Mohamed S. Hussein, Engineering Services Director; Mr. Carlton Joao, Marketing Director; Mrs. Kavorn Kyte-Williams, Company Secretary/General Counsel/Human Resources Chief Executive; Mrs. Reshma Nedd, Trisco Executive; Mr. Matthew Kendal, Brew Master, and other executives and staff members.
This year’s bursary recipients are Gabriella Phillips, Demitri Chase, Nikesha Makila Williams, Angel Amarah Stewart, Matthew Kendall, Ashanti Olivea Williams, Rebecca Stuffle, Richard Junior Stephens, Roshanie Mahadeo, Jasmin Benjamin, Romesh Khemlall, Kristian Daryl Gomes, Makani Theron George, Seth Elliott Vasconcellos, Gabriella Allegra Siebs, Sanaa Afiya Adams, Nkechi Oprah Forrester, Ezekiel Anthony Singh, Bhudev Hafeez Persaud and Shavnarine Deolall.
Banks stated that it looks forward to supporting the next five years of their educational journey as they aim to be all they can be. “We congratulate all the students of our nation who wrote the National Grade Six Exams,” the company said.
