POLICE have recaptured Lusignan prison escapee Adrian Damder, nearly two weeks after he escaped from lawful custody.
Damder, 34, of Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, was arrested during an operation at Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara, in the early hours of Saturday.
According to police, ranks acted on information received and went to a location in the village at about 00:20 hrs, where the fugitive was contacted and arrested without incident.
Damder, who was on remand for threatening language, had escaped from the Lusignan prison sometime between 08:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs on May 17, 2026.
He is currently being held at the Sparendaam Police Station as investigations continue.
