President Dr. Irfaan Ali on Saturday interacted with Guyanese at the International Centre for Democracy (ICD) get-together at the Villa Russo Banquet Hall
in Queens, New York, and later visited the Regent Street Lounge where he engaged patrons. He also stopped by the Ex-Guyana Defence Force Association
of New York to pay tribute to basketball coach Bernard Daniels, who he described as “a true pioneer who led with his heart, strength and wisdom”. In his
remarks, the President said it was a pleasure to recognise Coach Daniels’ lifelong dedication to the development of basketball, and his mentorship of
