POLICE in Regional Division # 4 ‘A’ are investigating the discovery of a male, who was found motionless on the western side of the Bourda Market area, on Monday about 08:00 hours.
“The deceased is a male of mixed ancestry, believed to be about 60 years old and of no fixed place of abode. Initial investigations revealed that he was known to frequent and sleep within the Bourda Market area.
“On the morning in question, ranks responded after receiving information that the man was seen lying motionless at the location.
Upon arrival, the body was found clad in a blue short pants and grey top. Emergency Medical Technicians were summoned and the man was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation,” a statement from the police said.
It added that no marks of violence were observed on the body.
The body was later taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
