THE Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company Ltd (GT&T) yesterday sent a press release dictating that the final leg of the much-anticipated GT&T Jingle and Song Competition is now set for Friday, June 14, at the National Cultural Centre.

Both the Bollywood and English contestants will compete in mixed genres as they continue to vie for the title of this year’s Guyana Star.
Those competing in the final of the Bollywood segment are: Yeataindra Singh, Andy Rambarack, Reshma Persaud, Devchandra Ramrattan, Bibi Halima Khan, Sasenarine Hitnarayan, Harresh Singh, Bunty Singh, Danishwar Bisessar, and Erick Sukrah.
Those in the English segment are Darren Benjamin, Ryan Hoppie, Lemuel Chester, Dorian Obermuller, T`Shanna Cort, Lerone Souvenir, Michael Small, Natasha Yhap, Diana Chapman and Edward Perez.
Tickets for the event go on sale on Monday, June 3, for $1,500 and $1,000.
Close to 1000 persons from across the country auditioned for the competition in March this year.
The winners in the two segments will each be presented with a motor car and one million dollars cash.
