MICHAEL Jeffrey, 32, was sentenced to 48 months imprisonment Tuesday, after  Magistrate Judy Latchman convicted him of burglary.

Particulars of the offence said, on Friday, May 3, at Lot 44 Public Road, Kitty, Georgetown, the defendant (no address given) broke and entered the dwelling home of Diana Bowman and stole pieces of grill work, zinc sheets and other items valued a total of $522,700.
Police Corporal Jomo Nichols, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was not at her home when she received certain information that caused her to return there and find the burglar in her yard with a cart filled with the booty.
With the assistance of others, she managed to hold on to Jeffrey, the prosecutor said.
