MELINDA Ally, 45, of Lot 42 Railway Road, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman yesterday, charged with unlawful assault.
It was alleged that, on Saturday, April 20, at Eagle Disco, in Robb Street, Georgetown, she unlawfully assaulted Leon Morris.

Police Corporal Jomo Nichols, prosecuting, said the defendant, standing next to Morris in the disco, was in the process of hitting another female with a beer bottle, when it struck the virtual complainant in the face.
Ally was granted $50,000 bail and a summons was issued for Morris, who was not in Court, for him to make an appearance when the case is called, again, on June 7.
