Alleged wife killer trial to start on Monday

MURDER accused Anderson Nicholson, who allegedly killed his wife Trevlyn Nicholson during a domestic spat on October 14, 2008, pleaded not guilty to the murder indictment before Justice Roxanne George at the Berbice Assizes on Tuesday.

Represented by Attorney-at-law Tania Clements Warren, the accused denied the alias ‘Cow boy’, which was read by the Registrar as a part of his name on the indictment.
A twelve-member jury, which included a lone female, has been sworn, and hearings have been adjourned to Monday.
Seven witnesses, including two eye witnesses, are expected to testify at the hearings.

State Counsel is Ms. Prithima Kissoon.
