A TWENTY-year-old woman has been arrested after police caught her at the Bartica Stelling on Saturday with a large quantity of cannabis, which she reportedly purchased for her uncle.
According to the police, ranks acted on information received and went to the Bartica Stelling at around 12:40hrs and arrested the suspect.  She was escorted to the Bartica Police Station, where a search was conducted on an orange handbag she was carrying.

In that bag was where the police reportedly found the leaves, seeds and stems of what was suspected to be ‘cannabis’ wrapped in transparent plastic, and concealed in a multi-coloured blanket.
When weighed in her presence, the items amounted to 892 grams.
