‘Days like these’ production team pushing forward despite difficulties

Episode 1 of ‘DAYS LIKE DESE’, the 15-minute sitcom which is currently focusing on on COVID -19, began airing since August 21. Episode 3 will began airing today and the production team has reported that it is a very challenging task to produce a sitcom during the pandemic while ensuring that the cast and crew observe the rules and all the guidelines for COVID -19.

In a press release from the sitcom management team, it was related producer of the show, Gem Madhoo-Nascimento carefully guides the creative team of Kirk Jardine and Rochelle Christie in their scriptwriting, keeping in mind not too many cast members in one episode, no physical contact for actors except in cases where they are direct family members involved; all crew are masked and at least one actor is wearing a mask if they are close to one another. If there is actual ‘touching’ in a scene, sanitizer wipes and spray are readily on hand for use after the scene.

“Days like Dese” is the theatre community of notable actors presenting to the public an educational and entertaining programme to help fight the pandemic that is affecting all of us.
The team encourages all viewers to share with their friends and family so in an aim to raise awareness on precautionary measures of how to fight the pandemic.

Each week a new episode is released and aired nationwide on all 21 television stations, from Bartica to Charity, Linden and on the Upper Corentyne. At least five stations in the county of Berbice are airing it. After each episode is completed, it is then uploaded on YouTube.
