Remanded on illegal possession of shotgun, ammunition charges

ANTONIO David (no address given) was remanded to prison yesterday, on charges of illegal possession of a shotgun and ammunition. Before Magistrate Allan Wilson, he pleaded not guilty to having, on March 11, been in possession of a 16-gauge single barrel shotgun and two matching cartridges without licences for them.
Police Corporal Jairam Luckhai, prosecuting, objected to bail and the court upheld his objection as no special reasons were given for the grant.
David returns to Court on May 2.
