SIX persons are in police custody after the body of an unidentified man, suspected to be Venezuelan, was discovered in the wee hours of Saturday morning by a villager in Tabatinga, Region Nine.
The body, which bore multiple stab wounds, was found in the vicinity of “Black bridge”, approximately 500 feet away from the Tabatinga main road in the municipality of Lethem.
Reports indicate that a villager was alerted that something was amiss when several Spanish-speaking persons caused a commotion outside his house. The resident told a police that he heard a shout, then a scream before a calm.
When he exited his home to enquire what was wrong, he stumbled upon a body lying on the street, in close proximity to his residence.
The villager then contacted the police who arrived on the scene and removed the unidentified man.
