Liverpool man on the run after fatally wounding Manchester villager

A CANE harvester of Manchester Village, Corentyne,  was fatally stabbed in the region of his heart following an argument with his attacker at the Godfrey Liquor Restaurant and Beer garden, a village away from his home.
Quacy Grey, age 26, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port Mourant Hospital, shortly after 22:30 hrs last Friday night, after a derogatory remark was thrown at him.
According to  Ivor Stewart, known as ‘Dingo’  a fellow cane harvester, he was in company with the now deceased  drinking [imbibing alcohol], when his[Grey’s] phone rang. As a result, Grey went outside the shop, were he spoke on his cellular phone.
Stewart claimed that the  twenty-one-year-old suspect, who was a short distance away, was overheard asking Grey whether he was a ‘police’ or ‘a pussy cat’.
As a result, an argument ensued between the two men, who had  known  each other. Stewart said the  disagreement escalated, resulting in them moving from the rum shop to another one in the village street, in Liverpool Village, where Grey was stabbed.
The suspect was seen running away from the scene, and continues to elude police at press time.
Meanwhile, the wounded man was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the health institution, where he died before receiving medical attention.
