GBTI hosts media at Xmas luncheon

IN THE true spirit of Christmas, the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited hosted members of the media fraternity at its traditional Xmas luncheon, on Thursday at its Recreational Centre at Kaieteur Road, Bel Air Park, Georgetown. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Tracey; Mr John Barnes, Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance; and  Mr Carlton James, Communications Consultant/Board Member, were among the senior staffers who interacted and lunched with members of the fourth estate.
In brief remarks, Tracey underscored the valuable role the media plays, especially at this juncture of Guyana’s history. He also pointed out that, as a banking institution, GBTI is neutral and does not participate in politics, but collaborates with Government and organisations on various schemes.
Like Tracey, James, who spoke of his role as a board member, given his expertise in the field of communication, wished the media happy holidays.
