THE appointments of Regional Chairmen in the ten Administrative Regions of Guyana will be made either today or tomorrow, said a Government source, who spoke to the Guyana Chronicle on condition of anonymity.
According to the source, Ministers Ganga Persaud and Norman Whittaker, from the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development; Pauline Sukhai from Amerindian Affairs and Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett from Foreign Affairs are among those who met recently to discuss the nominations.
The source said they came up with proposals for those who would better suit the posts, subsequent to which executives of the political parties will examine them.
President Donald Ramotar will have the final say on who will be appointed.
