CONSISTENT rain and water-logged outfield conspired to force an abandonment of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Dave West Indian Exports Guy-NY Inter-county Under-15 50-over tournament yesterday.

The final was scheduled to take place between defending champions Berbice and hosts Demerara at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) ground, Bourda.

However, the final has been put on-hold until further notice, according to an official from the GCB.
A keen battle is expected from both teams, although Berbice have hammered all oppositions to reach the final unbeaten.

Both coaches said while their players were disappointed, there was not much anybody could do about the weather.
