PASTOR Daniel Singh puts himself forward as an authority in the many letters he writes to the press. As an authority, it is necessary that he state his credentials. Singh was recently asked by Mr. Gossai to state what:
(i) is the name of the church he represents;
(ii) are his credentials as a pastor and where he obtained them;
(iii) is the size of his congregation in the particular church in which he is operating.
Singh is stoutly refusing to answer these questions, making it more difficult for editors to keep publishing letters from someone who may turn out to be a charlatan.
Indeed his letter in the Guyana Chronicle dated 5/06/09, Singh implied admittedly that his congregation, whoever they might be, had asked him to quit and he replied: I am too legit to quit.
Why did they ask him to quit? Singh must reply in person and must ask third parties to reply for him since he would have a chance of denying the third party’s information when it suits him.
Why does not Singh give this necessary information? Or is it a case of Daniel being in the lion’s den and cannot come out?
