THE Non-Resident Ambassador of the French Republic to Guyana, H.E. Antoine Joly, on Monday paid a courtesy call on Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams S.C., M.P. at the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Mr. Joly’s visit comes ahead of an up-coming seminar on trans-boundary drugs trafficking and organised crime, to be held in Cayenne, French Guiana. At the meeting, Mr. Joly briefed the attorney general on the importance of the meeting and the need for Guyana to attend. Representatives from France, French Guiana, Brazil and Suriname are expected to participate.. Also sitting-in on the meeting was Ms. Ariel Haynes, Parliamentary Counsel.
