–says it’s unfair she is always blamed for financial irregularities
CITY Mayor, Patricia Chase-Green, has accused Deputy Mayor, Sherod Duncan, of making utterances that damage her character and has threatened to take him to court if he continues to do so.
She’s also threatened to do likewise to People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Councillor, Bishram Kuppen.
Chase-Green has complained bitterly of statements that are constantly made in the press and on social media by these individuals.

“I do not handle the cash of the M&CC, so the financial irregularities are not by me. It’s unfair! I’m going to take them to court if they continue,” the irate mayor said.
Kuppen had recently said that the Mayor is very supportive of Town Clerk, Royston King’s actions of financial irregularities and mismanagement of the city’s business.
Chase-Green said it is unfortunate that the blame is always put on her, and referred to the “nonsense” that continues to be posted on social media. “You need to stop defaming my character! Stop!” Chase-Green said.
King joined in, saying that Councillors taking the negatives to the press and social media undermine the authority of the Council and erode the public’s confidence in it.
Meanwhile, the mayor has also threatened to evict from the meeting PPP Councillor, Khame Sharma, whom she’s accused of being disrespectful on numerous occasions.
“At some point, I’ll use the law to have you removed,” she said to Councillor Sharma. “I’ve always been respectful to you, and on several occasions, you have risen to disrespect us,” the mayor charged.
