THE body of an unidentified man was found early yesterday morning in a canal aback of Meadowbrook Drive, Greater Georgetown.
It appears that he was shot in the head.
Reports said at about 06:00hrs yesterday morning residents in the area raised an alarm after spotting the corpse floating in the Lama Canal at 55-56 Block ‘E’ South Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Residents at the scene morning recalled hearing a few explosive sounds on Saturday but did not pay much attention to them.
Police found several items on the body, including a gold chain, a cellular phone and a wallet.
There was also a tattoo across the man’s back. The body was clad in blue jeans, checkered underwear, a black jersey, and a pair of slippers, and his hair was braided.
