CHIEF Magistrate Ann McLennan on Tuesday remanded a 45-year-old man, who was recently busted with a shot gun in the South Rupununi region.
Orvin Roberts pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on January 14, 2017 at Aishalton Village, South Rupununi, he had a 16 gauge single barrel shotgun in his possession when he is not the holder of a firearm licence.

He also denied that on the same day and location he had a 12 gauge cartilage in his possession. The unrepresented man was remanded until March 7, 2017, and his matter was transferred to the Lethem Magistrate’s Court.
