WELL-KNOWN entertainment promoter Colin Mack, who was charged with raping a 19-year-old woman last year, faced two new charges before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday. The 39-year-old, of Lot 2049 Festival City, pleaded not guilty to both, one of which said, on December 21, at Camp and Middle Streets, also in Georgetown, he made use of abusive language to Jabella Headley.
It is also alleged that, the same day, he used threatening language to the very individual.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said Mack told the virtual complainant he would kill her, as he raised his concerns in a restaurant.
The Prosecutor said, however, he was not objecting to bail for Mack.
Defence Counsel Nigel Hughes told the Court the incident resulted from Mack’s dissatisfaction with the service he received at the popular eating house, where he would make no further purchases.
Mack was released on $10,000 surety, for each charge, until January 4.
