TAXI driver Peter Angeer was attacked and robbed by two men, one armed with a handgun, last Saturday night at Good Hope Embankment Road, East Coast Demerara.
In a press statement, Police said investigations revealed that the two men hired Angeer at Stabroek Market to travel to Good Hope where he was held up.
His car, HB 1800, and $800 in cash were as taken away by the men who escaped.
According to the release, quick response by the Police led to the recovery of the motor vehicle at Cove and John, minus an amplifier, stereo deck and a cell phone that were in the vehicle.
