THE police are investigating the murder of Brian Hoyte, 41, of Shell Road, Kitty, Georgetown which occurred around 00:05h yesterday at the Stabroek Market.
A police release said investigations so far revealed that Hoyte was involved in an argument with another man during which he was stabbed.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A suspect has been arrested and is in police custody, while the knife believed to have been used, has been recovered by the officers.
