IN the spirit of giving back for Christmas, popular businessman Roshan Khan, Principal and Founder of the RK’s Institute of Motoring, pleasantly surprised Guyanese author Bobby Kissoon with a free driving course valued at $25,000.

Mr. Kissoon had visited Mr. Khan’s driving school to be registered for the Disciplined Course Scheduled System I, and upon hearing that he was a local author who is much respected in Trinidad khan2and other Caribbean territories, Mr. Roshan Khan decided to present him with the course free of charge, as a gift for his contribution to Guyanese Literature and as a pleasant surprise for the holidays.

On making the presentation, Mr. Khan said: “It is so unfortunate that we have such a famous writer in Guyana and most people know nothing of him, but his fame is widespread in Trinidad and Tobago, where he published a number of books. These books include: Fear in the Darkness, Mafia on the High Seas, Jimmy is no King, The Orphans, The African Beauty, and many others.

“Mr. Kissoon was born and grew up in the Black Bush Polder area on the Corentyne Coast; He attended the Corentyne Comprehensive (High School) in Port Mourant. He studied Architectural Drafting at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and worked there for a while in the construction industry. He made frequent visits to Guyana, Trinidad and Suriname, countries which mean much to him.”
