BHARRAT Jaikarran, the father of 6-year-old Orlando Jaikarran was, on Friday, remanded to prison for murder when he appeared at the Weldaad Magistrate’s Court.

Jaikarran of Waterloo, Bath Settlement, appeared before Magistrate Shareefah Parks where the charge of murder was read to him.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

Meanwhile, the second accused in the matter is expected to also be charged with murder as police are seeking legal advice.

According to a source, the file for the Pujari is to return to the Director of Public Prosecution today.
