TWENTY-FIVE women entrepreneurs have completed advanced training in designs, décor and events management under the Women’s Innovation and Investment Network (WIIN), gaining practical skills aimed at strengthening their businesses and expanding their income-earning opportunities.
The Level 2 and 3 WIIN Designs, Décor & Events Management Training was held from September 25 to October 2 at the Guyana Women’s Leadership Institute (GWLI).
The training provided participants with advanced practical skills in design, décor and events management, equipping them to improve the quality of their work, expand their entrepreneurial activities and develop more sustainable sources of income.
The programme forms part of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security’s ongoing efforts to support women’s economic empowerment through skills development and entrepreneurship.
Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr Vindhya Persaud, has continued to promote initiatives aimed at helping women develop marketable skills and convert their creativity and expertise into viable businesses.
Through WIIN, the ministry is providing opportunities for women entrepreneurs to strengthen their capabilities while creating pathways towards greater financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
The latest cohort’s completion of the advanced training marks another step in efforts to equip women with practical skills that can be applied directly to business development and income generation.
